Bidders sought for US$1bn Doha Link bridge works

The Public Works Ministry in Kuwait is seeking bidders for a contract to design and build the US$1billion Doha Link bridge. The 16km long bridge will link the port village of Doha to Shuwaikh and will also be connected to the Subiya Causeway. A number of prequalified consortia have been invited to bid for the work by 27 November, 2012.

The Public Works Ministry (Kuwait) in Kuwait is seeking bidders for a contract to design and build the US$1billion Doha Link bridge.

The 16km long bridge will link the port village of Doha to Shuwaikh and will also be connected to the Subiya Causeway.

    Bidding is commencing for a major new highway bridge project in Dubai. The Al Ittihad bridge project is for a 2.7km link, spanning the Dubai Creek.     South Korean contractor Hyundai Engineering looks set to win the deal to build Kuwait’s Subiya Causeway project. The award of the deal for this massive US$2.6 billion project has been delayed several times so far but is now on track to be awarded by the end of 2011. It still requires parliamentary approval but has been given approval from Kuwait's Central Tenders Committee (CTC).
