BICES proves bullish

The BICES 2011 construction equipment exhibition close to Chinese capital Beijing proved a major draw for attendees. Exhibitor support was strong with over 1,200 firms supporting the event and this included major international and Chinese equipment manufacturers such as Caterpillar, Doosan, FAYAT, Jonyang, Hitachi Kobelco, Komatsu, Kotai, LiuGong, SANY, Shantui, Sunward, XGMA, XCMG and Zoomlion.

The 2730 BICES 2011 construction equipment exhibition close to Chinese capital Beijing proved a major draw for attendees. Exhibitor support was strong with over 1,200 firms supporting the event and this included major international and Chinese equipment manufacturers such as 178 Caterpillar, 695 Doosan, 217 Fayat, 3253 Jonyang, 233 Hitachi 2200 Kobelco, 2300 Komatsu, 3885 Kotai, 269 LiuGong, 1170 Sany, 1171 Shantui, 1173 Sunward, 2713 XGMA, 2490 XCMG and 1175 Zoomlion. Engine firms were also well represented with 201 Deutz, 2723 Fiat Powertrain, 2724 Isuzu and 1265 Kubota amongst those exhibiting.

The indoor exhibits covered an area of some 70,000m2 in three indoor halls while the total show area was nearly 200,000m2 including the external exhibit area. Visitor numbers were not available at the time of writing but attendee levels were visibly high and the show was bustling. The BICES event was held in the Beijing Jiuhua International Exhibition Centre from 18th-21st October, with the showground located to the north of the city and close to the 6th ring road.
