Against a backdrop of China’s fast-growing infrastructure projects, the organisers of 2730 BICES are promising 2011 will be another record-breaking year for the event.

BICES, the Beijing International Construction Machinery, Building Material Machinery and Mining Machinery Exhibition and Seminars (the former Beijing International Construction Exhibition and Seminars) is an exhibition under the leadership of industry authorities.

It will be co-located with IVEX, the China Beijing International Commercial Vehicles Exposition, and will be held from 18-21 October at the Beijing Jiuhua International Exhibition Center with an expected 200,000m² of show space and 1,200 exhibitors.

Organisers say that the construction machinery industry is developing at high speed in China, with the sales value in 2010 rising by 48%, and such a trend is set continue throughout the whole year of 2011.

“Since the BICES/IVEX project was launched in July 2010, enquiries and stand reservations have rushed in. As of the middle March more than 900 booths have already been booked by exhibitors, breaking the record over the same period of the last BICES [2009],” say the organisers.

“Reservations made by the international exhibitors have increased by a large margin, and BICES 2011 will have the largest participation of international exhibitors engaged in the manufacture of earthmoving equipment, mining vehicles, engines, drilling machines and aerial machines, in its history.”

“A number of the stands reserved have reached 4,000-5,000m², but despite the organisers’ efforts to provide widened space, there are still enterprises that cannot fully realise their requirement of show space expansion.

“Therefore, the organisers said they will consider those exhibitors who will bring new and innovative and green, energy-saving products.”
