The organisers of the 2730 BICES 2017 exhibition in Beijing believe that the event will be bigger than before, with more exhibitors and attendees. The organisers recently held a press conference in Beijing for the event, highlighting the key improvements being made to help develop the exhibition further. This show launch was attended by more than 150 participants, including representatives from exhibitors, media, end users, supporting associations and associations.

The organisers announced that, BICES 2017 will be held from September 20th to 23rd, 2017 at the New China International Exhibition Centre (NCIEC) in Beijing. Running at the same time will be the IVEX 2017, China International Emergency Rescue Equipment Exhibition (CIEREE), BICES Construction Machinery Appearance & Quality Competition (BICES-CMAQC), and the 4th China International Design Contest of Construction Machinery & Special Vehicle show.

The organisers expect that the BICES 2017 will see more than 1,000 exhibitors from around the world will showcase new technologies at the showground, which will cover an area of over 150,000 m2. The four day exhibition is expected to attract professional visitors from home and abroad, especially from emerging markets. A large variety of exhibits including construction machinery, building material machinery, mining machinery, commercial vehicles, and emergency rescue equipment will be displayed at the exhibition.

Jing Xiaobo, Inspector of the MIIT Bureau for Performance Inspection & Coordination said that given the severe challenges and problems facing the construction machinery industry, the state has taken a series of measures to stabilise its growth and adjust its structures, to stimulate the recovery of the industry.

According to the Chinese construction equipment manufacturing association, the CCMA, in recent years, the construction machinery industry has experienced a profound structural adjustment. As a consequence, many advanced technologies and advantageous products failed to be fully showcased at international exhibitions. For example, at bauma 2016, the real strength of China’s construction machinery industry was not thoroughly introduced to the rest of the world.

But in 2017, the CCMA believes that the construction machinery industry will see growth. Being event co-organisers, the CCMA and its branches, will organise relevant meetings, forums, contests, ratings, investigations and talks, trying to offer attentive and effective services to the exhibitors, visitors, and news media.

Qiao Jian, general manager of BICES Show, stressed that both the organiser and co-organiser will work together with all industry players to build BICES 2017 to a new high level with main efforts and focus being made in the following aspects:

Exhibits will be further categorised and showcased to provide visitors with clear and easy access to those products and exhibitors that they are interested. Meanwhile, diversified forums, demonstration and training will be held during BICES 2017. These will include the Global Top 50 Summit, International Rental Conference, Aerial Work Platform Demonstration, One Belt and One Road & Construction Machinery Application Forum, China Construction Machinery Marketing Salon, Introduction to Global Hot Markets, BICES Construction Machinery Appearance & Quality Competition.

More efforts and focus will be paid to inviting and organisation of professional visitors. And BICES will be built into a more international brand. In order to expand BICES’s international influence and attract more foreign exhibitors and visitors, the organisers will enhance the cooperation with foreign partners, supporters and media to have BICES promoted globally, and to invite international buyers and visitors jointly with those foreign partners, supporters and media.

In addition, more attention will be paid to improving the quality and service of BICES. A key to this last is the improved exhibition facility. The NCIEC is the largest and most multi-functional exhibition centre in Northern China. For the event, the organisers will re-design the outdoor exhibition areas according to the characteristics of the BICES.

The organisers will also further optimise BICES service process and service facility allocation together with other service providers, as well as improve on-site management.

Transportation has also been improved. The NCIEC is only 7.5km from the Beijing Capital International Airport, having access to a highly developed transport network. With Beijing-Chengde Expressway and Airport Expressway passing by, the Center is also accessible by the 5th and 6th ring roads from the south and north, and by Line 15 which is included in a developed subway network. Aside from the existing transport means, the organisers will also arrange shuttles at transport hubs like the Beijing Capital International Airport and Tiantongyuan Subway Station, ensuring convenient transport for all related parties.
