BICES 2013 preparatory meeting hears plans for ‘record’ show

The BICES 2013 exhibitor preparatory meeting and press conference has been held in Beijing, China ahead of the key show in the Chinese capital on October 15-18 2013. During the pre-event for what will be the 12th Beijing International Construction Machinery Exhibition & Seminar, Su Zimeng, vice president and secretary general of the China Construction Machinery Association (CCMA) and general manager of BAICE, analysed the Chinese engineering machinery industry and explained the significance of BICES 2013.

The 2730 BICES 2013 exhibitor preparatory meeting and press conference has been held in Beijing, China ahead of the key show in the Chinese capital on October 15-18 2013.

During the pre-event for what will be the 12th Beijing International Construction Machinery Exhibition & Seminar, Su Zimeng, vice president and secretary general of the 2735 China Construction Machinery Association (CCMA) and general manager of BAICE, analysed the Chinese engineering machinery industry and explained the significance of BICES 2013.

Meanwhile, Huang Xiaomin, president of China Construction Machinery Co (6401 CNCMC), gave a detailed overview of the preparation work ahead of the major exhibition.

Other key speakers at the preparatory event and press conference held at the Beijing Jiuhua International Exhibition Center included Zhang Yazhou, a lawyer of Unitalen Attorneys at Law, who gave a presentation on intellectual property protection.

Representatives from just under 100 major global construction equipment manufacturing firms exhibiting at BICES 2013, including 2490 XCMG, 1170 Sany, 1175 Zoomlion, 269 LiuGong, 1171 Shantui, and 2713 XGMA, attended the meeting and press conference, along with a large number of the world’s construction trade and other media.

They heard how BICES 2013 will be held during a key time for the construction equipment manufacturing industry, with many markets looking to gain momentum in 2013 after stabilising through the global economic downturn.

Organisers of BICES 2013 say the show will reach a brand new level. New show records will be set for the total exhibition space (210,000m²) and number of exhibitors (1,500).

The event will showcase the latest and best of engineering machinery, building material machinery, mining machinery, special purpose motor vehicle, special refitted vehicle and emergency rescue equipment.

BICES 2013 is co-sponsored by China Construction Machinery Association, China Construction Machinery Co, and 5209 China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Machinery Sub-Council. It is being organised by Beijing Asiamachine International Convention & Exhibition Co., Ltd. The show’s international partner, the US-based 1100 Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM), is assisting organiser’s with international exhibitor recruitment and international event promotion & organisation.

The Beijing International Emergency Rescue Equipment Exhibition and the China International Commercial Vehicle Exhibition will be held at the same time as the BICES 2013 show.
