Bentley Systems announces finalists in awards programme

Software specialist Bentley Systems has announced the finalists for its 2018 Awards Programme. The winners for the awards scheme will be selected and announced at Bentley’s Year in Infrastructure 2018 Conference, from October 15th-18th, being in London. Software specialist 4019 Bentley Systems has announced the finalists for its 2018 Awards Programme. The winners for the awards scheme will be selected and announced at Bentley’s Year in Infrastructure 2018 Conference, from October 15th-18th, being in London.


The annual awards programme honours the work of Bentley users advancing infrastructure design, construction, and operations throughout the world. In all 12 independent jury panels of distinguished industry experts selected the 57 finalists from 420 nominations submitted by more than 340 user organisations around the world.

The finalists for Year in Infrastructure 2018 awards for going digital advancements in infrastructure are split into a series of categories. Three nominees have been selected in each category from amongst the many entrants by the judging panels. The judges will then deliberate on each of the three nominees, selecting an overall winner.

In the bridges category the first nomination is for GS E&C Corporation for; Jungkun~Jinjeong Bypass Road (Sueo-chon Bridge) – Gwangyang, Jeolla-Namdo, South Korea. The second is for; Indian Railways – Reality modeling facilitates efficient planning, construction and monitoring of Chenab Bridge – Reasi District, Jammu & Kashmir, India. The third nomination is for; PT WIJAYA KARYA (Persero) Tbk – Design and Build of Road Bridge at Teluk Lamong Port Project – Gresik-Surabaya, East Java, Indonesia.

In the roads and Highways the first nomination is for; Alabama Department of Transportation – Birmingham, AL I-59/I-20 Corridor Project – Birmingham, Alabama, United States. The second is for; Henan Provincial Communications Planning & Design Institute Co – BIM-based Further Design and Digital Construction of the Yaoshan-Luanchuan Section Project in the Zhengzhou-Xixia Expressway – Luoyang, Henan, China. And the third nomination is for; Lebuhraya Borneo Utara – Pan Borneo Highway Sarawak – Sarawak, Malaysia.
