The new venue for the 1260 bC India show is the India Expo Centre in Greater Noida, near Delhi.

A total of 170,000m² of exhibition space is available for the 688 Bauma/3485 Conexpo event taking place from 15-18 December, 2014.

The move to Great Noida follows two successful events held in Mumbai.

Organisers of bC India 2014 say exhibitors and visitors will benefit from significantly improved infrastructure in comparison to the previous two exhibitions at the Bandra Kurla Complex in Mumbai.

The India Expo Centre not only has fully-equipped exhibition space, it also has a business and conference centre, a press centre and catering facilities.

Thomas Löffler, chief executive officer of show organiser bC Expo India, said, "We are looking forward to the India Expo Centre as the event venue. We can offer our exhibitors a total of 28,000 square meters of modern indoor exhibition space and 142,000 square meters of presentation space outdoors. This will help bC India become an even more professional trade platform."

The move to the new location also involves a shift in the dates for the show: from the February in odd-numbered years, to the December in even-numbered years. This also caters to the wishes of many companies for wider spacing within the trade-show calendar.

Amit Gossain, vice president marketing & business development with 255 JCB, said: "It’s good to see bC India shifting to North India where, so far, there is no large construction equipment exhibition. The Noida Expo Centre is good for world class exhibitions and the customers will enjoy the facilities.”

Anand Sundaresan, vice chairman and managing director of 7101 Schwing Stetter (India), added, “I feel it is a good decision to go to Delhi and to have the fair in December. It is the ideal month for conducting the fair as the climate in Delhi will be pleasant and make the fair an enjoyable event.”

Ramesh Palagiri, managing director and chief executive officer of 2395 Wirtgen India, added, "New Delhi is a good location considering that the maximum number of infrastructure projects are coming up in this part of the country. Also, all our customers visit New Delhi for meeting their clients and they can combine their visit to the exhibition.”

An innovative steering system is said to allow the D-TEC vacuum tanktrailer to manoeuvre easily on sites where there is little space. This design also reduces tyre scrubbing and allows greater tyre life, cutting running costs over the long term. The tank trailer offers greater load capacity than previously available designs according to the firm, due to its low weight,

ZF used bauma 2013 to show the next stage of development for its cPower continuously variable transmission (CVT). By combining the transmission with a hybrid module, ZF said greater operating efficiencies were available from the integration of start/stop technology and energy recovery from regenerative braking. Potentially, the hybrid drive system has the ability to boost fuel efficiency by up to 25% in addition to the 20% higher operating efficiency already offered by the cPower transmission, said ZF.
