With the construction equipment industry gearing up for the 688 Bauma 2010 exhibition, the organisers are also revealing further details of specific events at the show. This massive International Trade Fair for Construction Machinery, Building Material Machines, Mining Machines, Construction Vehicles and Construction Equipment, is covering an even more extensive and broad-ranging spectrum of themes than at the last event in 2007 according to exhibition manager Georg Moller. He said that during the bauma event, exhibitors have proposed interesting themes, and these are now being included in an expanded Forum programme. The first time the bauma Forum was held in 2007, around 60 speakers delivered lectures on mining, tunnel construction and processing technology. One highlight in the many discussions and lectures will be the country specials which are being organised in cooperation with Germany´s engineering federation (Verband deutscher Maschinen - und Anlagenbau - 1331 VDMA) on the markets of Asia, America, CIS/Russia and India. The Indian Union cabinet minister for Road Transport and Highways, Kamal Nath, will be opening a symposium on the first day of the fair on the construction industry and infrastructure in India.
