Autopistas de la Prosperidad, Colombia contracts out to tender

The first five sections of Colombia’s Autopistas de la Prosperidad have been put out to tender. The contracts, worth a combined US$3.52 billion (COP 6.4tn), will be awarded in November 2013. Overall, all nine sections of Autopistas de la Prosperidad are estimated to cost COP 13tn. The four remaining sections will go under the hammer in September 2013.

The first five sections of Colombia’s Autopistas de la Prosperidad have been put out to tender. The contracts, worth a combined US$3.52 billion (COP 6.4tn), will be awarded in November 2013.

    Construction work is commencing on an important new bridge link in Colombia. The Puente de la Reconciliacion Bridge will connect the municipality of Mompox with the rest of the Bolivar department of Colombia. The project is being carried out by the consortium Consorcio Nacional Yati. The project will improve connections with Mompox, which is difficult to reach by road at present due to the lack of a direct route. The 2.3km long bridge will also provide a connection between the Troncal de Occidente and Ruta
  • Slovakia opens up more D1 motorway sections to tender

    Slovakia’s national motorway company NDS has put out to tender two sections of the D1 motorway near Presov and Kosice. Both tenders have been published in the Official Journal of the European Union, with bid submission deadlines set for June 29. The first section is the south-west D1 by-pass of Presov at nearly 8km long, including the construction of a 2km duel-tube road tunnel Presov and estimated to cost €443.4 million. The second section is the 14.5km-long D1 Budimir to Bidovce stretch, with cost
