Australia's key upgrade

Plans are now in hand for Australia's US$223 million (A$240 million) project to upgrade Brisbane's Gateway Motorway. The work includes widening the Gateway Motorway from four to six lanes.

 Plans are now in hand for Australia's US$223 million (A$240 million) project to upgrade Brisbane's Gateway Motorway. The work includes widening the Gateway Motorway from four to six lanes. In addition, there will be a series of improvements including work to the Mt Gravatt-Capalaba Road Interchange as its road alignment will be upgraded.  1362 Abigroup and 2474 Leighton Holdings are partnering on the Gateway Motorway upgrade. The work is of key importance as Brisbane is one of Australia's fastest growth cities.

    Port connections and infrastructure will be improved in the Chinese city of Yichang, following completion of a series of projects now underway. The work is costing US$331 million and includes building six new roads and four new ports. The key road projects include the Houhe-Jietou tourist route and the Yafan-Baiyang road.
