Australia's key upgrade

Plans are now in hand for Australia's US$223 million (A$240 million) project to upgrade Brisbane's Gateway Motorway. The work includes widening the Gateway Motorway from four to six lanes.

 Plans are now in hand for Australia's US$223 million (A$240 million) project to upgrade Brisbane's Gateway Motorway. The work includes widening the Gateway Motorway from four to six lanes. In addition, there will be a series of improvements including work to the Mt Gravatt-Capalaba Road Interchange as its road alignment will be upgraded.  1362 Abigroup and 2474 Leighton Holdings are partnering on the Gateway Motorway upgrade. The work is of key importance as Brisbane is one of Australia's fastest growth cities.

    Work is now starting on the first construction phase of US Route 219 from Somerset to Meyersdale in Somerset County, Pennsylvania. This will be the first long stretch of high-speed expressway in Kenya and will connect the capital, Nairobi, with the country’s main port, Mombasa.
