Australia's key upgrade

Plans are now in hand for Australia's US$223 million (A$240 million) project to upgrade Brisbane's Gateway Motorway. The work includes widening the Gateway Motorway from four to six lanes.

 Plans are now in hand for Australia's US$223 million (A$240 million) project to upgrade Brisbane's Gateway Motorway. The work includes widening the Gateway Motorway from four to six lanes. In addition, there will be a series of improvements including work to the Mt Gravatt-Capalaba Road Interchange as its road alignment will be upgraded.  1362 Abigroup and 2474 Leighton Holdings are partnering on the Gateway Motorway upgrade. The work is of key importance as Brisbane is one of Australia's fastest growth cities.

    The Indian Government has announced plans for major road projects in Bihar, Jharkhand and Tamil Nadu. A 222km road upgrade project will expand the National Highway 2 in Bihar and Jharkhand.     Dutch construction company Heijmans has been awarded the final contract for the A1 motorway project between Apeldoorn and Azelo in the Netherlands.
