Atlas develops two new truck loading cranes

German firm Atlas has developed two new high performance truck loading cranes, the 186.3VB and the 129.3V. The cranes have a lower deadweight than previous models in this class and the 186.3VB model benefits from a centrally placed crane column that provides a large range of movement as well as high stability to both sides. Powerful new truck loading cranes are now offered by Atlas
German firm 2346 Atlas Maschinen has developed two new high performance truck loading cranes, the 186.3VB and the 129.3V. The cranes have a lower deadweight than previous models in this class and the 186.3VB model benefits from a centrally placed crane column that provides a large range of movement as well as high stability to both sides. The 186.3VB crane has extension cylinders fixed at the tip of the jib, a standard recycling valve and heavy duty supports. The short set-up time achieved due to the fast extension speed of the supports. Supply lines and safety devices are integrated into the components, allowing safer operation. The smaller 129.3V also has a centrally placed column and heavy duty supports, improving stability even when mounted on twin axle trucks. Set-up is said to be fast and the working speed is high due to return-oil recycling for the telescopic extensions. The supply lines for attachment tools are protected as they run inside the second boom, while sensitive controls allow precise operation.

Meanwhile the firm’s heavy lift 380.3E can be used with a fly-jib to provide a reach of 25.6m. And the 332.3E has up to eight extensions with a reach of 21m and a load at the tip of 0.83tonnes. Larger support widths, higher extension speeds and electronic and hydraulic supply lines which are protected inside the components distinguish this crane from others.

The 126.3 has up to eight boom systems for various applications with a maximum of five extensions giving a reach of 14.4m, and 16.5m using a fly jib. A new slim design for the 172.3 loading crane allows a reach of up to11.3m with its four section boom variant. The compact 57.3 is offered with six variants and offers a maximum reach of 11m.

Key features across the range include sliding blocks with large surfaces to reduce wear and optimise working speed of operation. The hydraulic supply lines for attachment tools are placed inside the jib, minimising width while as standard equipment, Atlas loading cranes are equipped with a recycling valve.

Aimed at special earthmoving and drainage applications, the excavators carry LR branding and have ground level reach of 15.06, 18.19 and 16.6m respectively. Load over heights range from 10.85m with the HMK220LC LR to 12.59 with the HMK300LC LR. The long-reach HMK220LC delivers 7,300kgf of bucket digging force with a 0.45m3 bucket, with the figures rising to 1m3 and 11,400kgf with the HMK370LC LR.
