Atlas Copco’s strategic agreement with Wuxi Drilling Tools Factory

Atlas Copco has entered a strategic partnership with Wuxi Drilling Tools Factory (WTDF) in a bid to increase its impact in the Chinese exploration drilling equipment market. 161 Atlas Copco has entered a strategic partnership with 6946 Wuxi Drilling Tools Factory (WTDF) in a bid to increase its impact in the Chinese exploration drilling equipment market.

The move, which was officially recognised in a signing ceremony at bauma China 2012, will see WDTF sell DCDMA standard Atlas Copco exploration drilling rigs in China.

In exchange, the Swedish mining and quarrying equipment giant will sell WDTF’s range of GB standard exploration drilling tools.

Speaking prior to the official strategic partnership signing ceremony, Atlas Copco’s general manager Freddy Man said, “Today’s co-operation signals that in the future customers in geo technical exploration fields will have a better choice.”
