RSS161 Atlas Copco has launched its new Hurricane B4-41/1000 CE booster compressor, which it says offers advanced operational, safety and maintenance features that result in low downtime.

“Drilling for oil, gas, water and geothermal energy are critical operations where there is little margin, or tolerance, for booster failure and downtime. Now Atlas Copco has introduced a CE-compliant booster compressor that is specially designed to provide maximum reliability in all conditions,” said the company.

The new Hurricane B4-41/1000 CE booster at INTERMAT has a capacity of 660litres/second (4m³/min) at a maximum discharge pressure of 69bar with a suction pressure of 24bar.
The 257 John Deere 4045 Power Tech diesel engine provides increased flows and pressures for improved borehole drilling.
