China's Guizhou province has major plans for highway investment during the 2011-2015 time period. In all there are plans to develop some 2,993km of expressway. The plans will require an investment of US$82.8 billion.
Two of China’s provinces, Shanxi and Sichuan, have announced plans to invest in infrastructure expansion. Shanxi Province has plans to invest US$3.44 billion in road construction projects during 2014. Seven new highway projects with a total length exceeding 375km will commence in the year. Four new highway links are being planned for China’s Heilongjiang Province. Building the four highways is expected to cost US$2.84 billion, with the work being carried out in 2018. In all the road network in Heilongjiang Province will benefit from work to 61 highway sections, totalling some 2,864km.
