AEM announces 2012 Hall of Fame inductees

The Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) has revealed its 2012 Hall of Fame inductees. John Deere (Deere & Company); Pierre Bataille (Poclain); and brothers Keith, Leonard and Mervel Wood (Woods Equipment Company); have become the latest inductees into the influential North America-based off-road equipment manufacturing trade association’s Hall of Fame, which recognises and celebrates outstanding individuals in the off-road equipment industry, and their legacy of innovation, service and leadership.

The 1100 Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) has revealed its 2012 Hall of Fame inductees.

257 John Deere (Deere & Company); Pierre Bataille (6903 Poclain); and brothers Keith, Leonard and Mervel Wood (6904 Woods Equipment Company); have become the latest inductees into the influential North America-based off-road equipment manufacturing trade association’s Hall of Fame, which recognises and celebrates outstanding individuals in the off-road equipment industry, and their legacy of innovation, service and leadership.

AEM Hall of Fame inductees are evaluated by an independent panel of industry experts on five criteria that are vital to the health of the off-road equipment manufacturing industry: 1) innovation, 2) industry contributions, 3) leadership, 4) corporate citizenship/social responsibility and 5) sustainability.

More than 850 companies and more than 200 product lines in the agriculture, construction, forestry, mining and utility sectors worldwide make up AEM’s membership. The Milwaukee, Wisconsin headquartered association also has with offices in Washington, D.C.; Ottawa, Canada; and Beijing, China.
