The 364 Wirtgen Group is exhibiting a wide range of its latest machines for the local market at bauma China 2014 in Shanghai. The firm is showing 11 innovations and no fewer than 13 products manufactured locally at the Langfang factory for the Chinese market, from its Road and Mineral Technologies divisions. There are 38 exhibits in total from the Wirtgen Group’s 2395 Wirtgen, 1194 Vögele, 228 Hamm and 261 Kleemann brands that are tailored to meet Chinese requirements.

The Wirtgen brand is exhibiting its powerful WR 250 reclaimer/ stabiliser, which is designed to stabilise heavy or boggy ground. With a rated output of 580kW, the WR 250 can break up roadways up to 250mm thick into homogeneous granulated material. The milling drum transmission can be operated from the cab, allowing drum speeds to be selected as required and providing a high quality mix at a high rate of advance. Wirtgen is also exhibiting the locally made W 100 H and W130 H compact planers as well as the large W 1900 and W 2000 milling machines.

On show from Wirtgen’s slip-form paver range are the compact SP 15 and SP 25, which are designed for versatility and can be used in applications such as offset and inset slip-forming of concrete pavements or profiles, such as concrete crash barriers, kerbs and gutters. The Wirtgen AutoPilot Field Rover, a technical innovation permitting all-automatic concrete paving without grade line or track wire, is also being shown in China for the first time.

From the group’s paver division, Vögele, come the new SUPER 1900-3 L and SUPER 2100-3 L highway class pavers. Specially designed for the requirements of the Chinese market, these tracked pavers have an extra-long material hopper and chassis, for example. Vögele is also presenting its Compact Class pavers SUPER 1103-3 and SUPER 1300-3. Pavers of the new dash 3 generation are equipped with such innovative features as the ErgoPlus 3 operating system and the EcoPlus low-emissions package. In addition, fully developed fixed-width screeds and extending screeds made by Vögele are also being shown.
Major machines for the local market also include the Super 1800-2 L and Super 1800-2 HD, two tried-and-tested pavers from the Universal Class.

New developments from compaction division, Hamm, include the first unveiling worldwide for new compactors made in China. The Hamm 318 and 320 compactors have been specially developed to meet local requirements for the Chinese market by engineers from the German headquarters in Tirschenreuth and Wirtgen China in Langfang working in close collaboration. These compactors offer compact designs and good all round visibility, as well as high performance handling and compaction properties.

Kleemann’s latest mobile cone crusher is the MOBICONE MCO 9 EVO, being shown for the first time in China. The company is also exhibiting the MOBICAT MC 110 Z EVO jaw crusher. The former machine is said to give a high quality end product, as well as featuring a high crushing capacity of up to 260tonnes/hour and is powered by a powerful diesel direct drive unit. The 30tonne crusher has compact dimensions, making it easy to transport. When operated in combination with an MC 110 EVO, its novel linear coupling helps ensure a smooth flow of material, optimising material levels in the crusher. The firm’s MOBISCREEN MS 19 D is also being exhibited, a mobile screen that can be used with the MC 110 and MCO 9 crushers. The MS 19 D features three screening decks and can classify up to four different granulations.

In addition to the exhibited machines, the Wirtgen Group is also presenting a special show of its various services and innovative technologies, including cutting technology from Wirtgen with the HT22 quick-change tool-holder system and the new generation X point-attack cutting tools.

Together with the products, these technologies and services make up the portfolio that the Wirtgen Group offers its customers for a variety of tasks.
