Rebuilding work has been carried out on the runway and taxiways at Maputo International Airport in Mozambique. The work was carried out for Aeroportos de Moçambique, with the engineering handled by NACO and US$64 million of funding being suplied by Agence Française de Dévelopement.

Foreign investors are playing a major role in funding work to develop Guatemala’s road infrastructure. For 2018, 74 of the projects being planned in Guatemala will be funded through foreign sources. However in all the Guatemalan Government has planned some 2.312 projects in all in its budget for 2018. Some US$131.85 million will be aimed at road works. Four projects are being planned to develop the road link connecting Alta Verapaz and Quiche. Another major road project being planned is for the CA-9 highway
The UK Government has released its National Infrastructure Plan 2013 (NIP2013) at an event held in London at the Institution of Civil Engineers (CIHT). The National Infrastructure Plan 2013 sets out the UK Government’s vision and strategic objectives for infrastructure by assessing the needs, now and in the future, setting out a policy approach, identifying priority projects and providing a plan for delivery. The scheme will fund improvements to the A50 around Uttoxeter starting no later than 2015 to 2016,
