    Volvo CE unveiled its new paver at Bauma 2014 in Shanghai. The new mid-sized P6820C ABG has lower fuel consumption and produces less noise than the model it replaces and is designed to deliver smooth mats in demanding conditions such as steep hills. Power is provided by Volvo’s D6E COM IIIA Tier 3 compliant engine providing power of 142kW. A smart power mode selectable by the operator lowers the engine RPM to match power and demand allowing fuel savings of up to 30%.

    Volvo Construction Equipment says growth in mature markets is the biggest contribution to its 10% sales increase in the first quarter of 2014, compared to the same three months of last year. The first three months of this year saw improved earnings on the back of increased sales, deliveries and order intake. The period also saw the launch of a new range of Volvo CE Tier 4 Final/Stage IV compliant models.
