Terex Trucks has struck a major supply deal for machines to Jordan

The extraction company COMEDAT has bought a fleet of 50 dump trucks to use at its operations, which are in the south and north of Jordan. The firm is a long standing customer for the Terex Trucks brand, having bought numerous machines for its fleet and as far back as the 1970s.

The machines are used to haul phosphates from the operations. Jordan is the fifth largest producer of phosphates globally and has an estimated 1.3 billion tonnes of phosphate reserves. Established almost five decades ago, COMEDAT is a family-run business. A leader in phosphate mining, the company owns of one of the largest fleets of Terex Trucks in the world, with close to 120 machines consisting of top-of-the-line of TR100s as well as the TR60s.

The machines are required to work day and night, as COMEDAT runs 24 hours, seven days/week and 365 days/year. The trucks are used to haul overburden removal, while others carry phosphate.
