The International Road Federation Geneva Programme Centre (IRF Geneva) has been publishing the IRF World Road Statistics (WRS), the most complete and authoritative source of data for the international road, traffic and inland transport sectors for over 50 years.

For 2017, 1201 IRF Geneva is pleased to announce the launch of a new %$Linker: 2 External <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-16"?><dictionary /> 0 0 0 oLinkExternal website Visit www.worldroadstatistics.org false http://www.worldroadstatistics.org/ false false%> dedicated to the World Road Statistics.

This new website provides all the information about the WRS including the methodology; contents of sections and indicators; the countries and years (as a map) for which information is available; the list of sponsors and the advertising opportunities for the next publication; the testimonials collected by users of the data; the contact information for any questions people may have, and the purchase page with the order and pricing list.

The WRS collects, validates and presents data on roads networks, vehicles and transport statistics on more than 200 countries. The strength of the WRS lies in IRF Geneva's exhaustive network of local and official primary statistical sources who provide IRF Geneva with up-to-date data every year.

Over the years, the WRS has been used by governments, international organisations, public and private companies, consulting groups, investment banks, the media, academia and associations for a variety of purposes. The WRS allows comparisons with other transport modes and countries, over time, identifying trends in the development of each one of the 50+ indicators for the 15+ years of data since 2000. The WRS includes indicators and data on:
• Country profiles

• Road networks

• Road traffic

• Multimodal traffic comparisons

• Vehicles in use

• Road accidents

• Production, imports, first registrations and export of motor Vehicles

• Road expenditures and revenues

• Energy (fuel prices)
