The call for papers was launched in late 2012 with two objectives in mind, to attract the best in innovative technical, institutional, economic, business and policy issues that are relevant, recent, and significant.

These papers are suitable for presentation in a technical session, and to attract original research and technological innovation that is recent, relevant and significant, as well as for presentation in a scientific session.

The Technical & Scientific program is being developed through the evaluation of nearly 500 abstracts submitted by authors from more than 60 countries encompassing six continents. Thus, abstract submissions mirror 2462 IRF’s global reach and member diversity, with every region of the world represented across all 11 themes of the meeting. The charts displayed below show the preliminary distribution of abstracts received, by region of origin and theme.

    November 20, 2015
This month we look at two additives from natural sources: a rejuvenator derived from pine trees and naturally occurring asphalt - Kristina Smith writes One of the problems experienced with pavements containing RAP is that, although they exhibit good rutting resistance, they often fail early due to fatigue cracking. Biorefiner Arizona Chemical has just unveiled independent test results for its SYLVAROAD RP1000 Performance Additive that it says demonstrate that the rejuvenator can help create mixes that ar
