Queensland’s massive infrastructure budget

The Australian state of Queensland is setting out major plans for infrastructure development. A budget of US$33.8 billion (A$45 billion) has been set for improvements to transport systems across the state over a four year period. Planned work will include developing new roads and highways as well as road connections.

    In Ohio the authorities have set a budget worth US$120 million to improve bridges. The funding is being made available to local governments. The state’s Local Bridge Partnership Program is adding 10 additional bridges to a program that is already improving or replacing 220 bridges in local communities across the state.     Mexico has made a significant advance in developing its road network in Queretaro State and Coahuila State. Some US$900 million was used to develop the road network on Queretaro State during the 2012-2018 period, while $370.1 million was used to improve the road network in Coahuila State during the 2014-2018 period.
