Argentina opts for Finnish engineering input

Finnish contractor Pöyry is starting work on a road inspection programme in Northern Argentina . The firm was awarded the €1 million contract to inspect works on provincial road #28 in Argentina by the Road Infrastructure National Programme. Pöyry is carrying out this Inter-American Development Bank financed project in partnership with local company IATASA and the technical services will be provided over a 36 month period.

Finnish contractor 5775 Pöyry is starting work on a road inspection programme in Northern Argentina . The firm was awarded the €1 million contract to inspect works on provincial road #28 in Argentina by the Road Infrastructure National Programme. Pöyry is carrying out this 2791 Inter-American Development Bank financed project in partnership with local company IATASA and the technical services will be provided over a 36 month period. The scope of the works includes 70km of paving works of existing road, building a concrete viaduct and a concrete bridge and work to protect against erosion and repairing of existing hydraulic works. When the work is complete, the road will be able to carry traffic all year round despite prevailing weather conditions during seasonal changes.
