Efficient spray paving

By MJ Woof September 3, 2024 Read time: 1 min
Dynapac is now offering an efficient spray paver machine that can handle both tasks in a single pass

Dynapac SD2500CS PROTAC Spray Paver is designed to handle both paving and spraying in a single pass. This novel machine can apply a layer of tack coat emulsion and a layer of asphalt at the same time. This saves time and cost, while increasing pavement quality.

The integrated, three-stage heating system brings the emulsion quickly to temperature using minimum power and without damaging the tack coat, while tank heating is synchronised with the electric screed, reducing the time needed to get the machine ready. The 1,200litre emulsion tank is mounted in the middle of the machine, which helps traction and stability as well as allowing a good field of view from the operator station.

The touchscreen control system is said to be easy to use, while an integrated cleaning system guides the user through the cleaning or blow-off process. Calibrating the spray rates can be handled using the display, as can troubleshooting. These features are connected to the proven automation technologies in Dynapac’s Pave Manager 2 Advanced software. These include screed width control via MatTracker, truck driver communication with TruckAssist or automatic setting memory with SetAssist.

Customers have a choice of a maximum spray width of 6.5m with V5100 or V6000 Screed Series or having a maximum spray width of 7m with V6000 Screed Series.
