Kobelco’s new SK520LC-11 excavator offers increased performance

Increased performance is claimed for Kobelco’s SK520LC-11E excavator, which is now being offered in two variants.

The standard model is the SK520LC-11E model, however there is also the new SK520LC-11E Mass Excavation variant, for specific application needs. Both models weigh from 52.9-57.2tonnes, depending on specification and have power from a six-cylinder Isuzu diesel rated at 348kW that meets Tier 4 Final/Stage V emissions requirements.

Standard bucket capacities for the conventional version are from 1.4-3.4m3, while it is offered with a short 3m arm, a standard 3.45m arm and a long 4.04m arm. Meanwhile the mass excavation variant is offered with the 3.4m bucket as standard and a 2.6m arm, allowing it to be used for high production operations.
