A new bridge in Ecuador will improve transport connections in the country. The opening of this new structure is of note as it is the longest bridge in Ecuador. The Bahia de Caraquez-San Vicente road bridge cost some US$102 million to construct.
Egyptian firm Rsquared Construction has been using a Lintec CSD2500B asphalt plant to assist with material supply for a road project in the south of the country. The Lintec CSD2500B plant’s first task was to supply material for a short but important road link. The firm, Rsquared Construction, selected the model for its ease of transport and low fuel consumption.
The tender process is commencing in Croatia for a major bridge project. The new Peljeski Bridge construction project is expected to cost some €526 million. Some of the financing required for the bridge will be provided by the EU, which is supplying €330 million, around 70% of the funding needed for the work. Once the bridge opens to traffic, it will provide an important transport link for Croatia, connecting road links to the Adriatic Coastline.
