1315 Intercomp says its weigh-in-motion LS630-WIM system is ideal for high traffic volumes at temporary facilities to monitor axle weight or GVW (gross vehicle weight) compliance.

Additionally, the portable system can be used at multiple locations as two people can deploy or stow the scale pads, ramps/levellers and output CPU in less than 15 minutes. This makes the dynamic weighing system ideal for avoiding undesirable traffic backups due to weight verification operations.

Two scale pads, four roll-up ramps/levelers and dedicated PT20 WIM CPU, or PC, can fit in the trunk of most full-sized vehicles.

The ramps/levellers keep adjacent axles on plane for optimal results. The system accumulates up to 36 individual axles for gross vehicle weight. It also switches to static mode easily.

Extreme weather conditions cost the EU’s transport system at least €15 billion/year. This is the result of a study carried out by the Finnish VTT Technical Research Centre. The study reveals that the greatest costs incurred are from road accidents, with the associated material and psychological effects. Costs arising from accidents are expected to decrease in volume, although time-related costs attributable to delays are projected to increase. In part, this last effect is due to climate change, which has an

Part of the 210B Series of on-grade concrete drills and like the 210B model, the 210B-2 is a pneumatic and easy-to-position unit that drills to a standard 45.72cm depth. Both the 210B and 210B-2 drills feature a compact frame, allowing each to operate within a confined area. The units have been specifically designed for straight-line drilling on a level subgrade, and are said to be ideal for airport work, lane additions and large patchw
