The 1035 Danish Government has shelved the plans for a road toll scheme for Copenhagen. The decision has been welcomed by opposition parties, and the government is now set increase funding for public transport so that ticket prices can be reduced.
Drivers could pay as little as US$1 to use Seattle’s 2.7km Alaskan Way tunnel when it opens, likely by the end of the year.
The Washington State Department of Transportation, owner of the tunnel, are considering several rates depending on time of day and day of week, according to local media.

ECED's first Dealers' Conference in April during Intermat resulted in "a tremendous success and solid future outlook for the association". The president of the European Confederation of Equipment Distributors (ECED), Dr. José Gameiro, said the gravity of the current crisis is "the worst in the past 50 years, with a devastating effect on equipment distribution for public works and civil construction."
The Russian Government is now working on a national plan for a new network of highways to improve transport across the country. This programme has been initiated by the Russian president, Vladimir Putin. The aim of the plan is to increase the number of high quality, high speed roads linking the country.
