Philippines highway plan

In the Philippines the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) intends to set out on a strategy of improving key roads and bridges to international standards in 2011. Under this strategy most of this US$2.31 billion budget will be targeted at national road network upgrades.

In the Philippines the 2569 Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) intends to set out on a strategy of improving key roads and bridges to international standards in 2011. Under this strategy most of this US$2.31 billion budget will be targeted at national road network upgrades. Assistance for the road upgrades will be provided by the 965 Korea Expressway Corp (KEC). Meanwhile DPWH is calling for South Korean input into key public-private partnership projects due for 2011. The DPWH team has worked on a plan including methodology and design for bridge and road project in the country. The national bridge and road upgrades will be priority projects in 2011.
