Key highway bridge project planned in Germany

A new bridge is planned for the busy A40 Autobahn route, which will be constructed at a busy intersection close to Duisburg.

A new bridge is planned for the busy A40 Autobahn route, which will be constructed at a busy intersection close to Duisburg. The bridge will stretch for 4.4km in all and construction is expected to commence in 2020, with the work being handled in two phases. The A40 route is important as it connects with the Netherlands and carries a high percentage of heavy truck traffic.
