Ecuador roadworks to be funded by US$367mn Chinese loan

The Ministry of Transport and Public Works in Ecuador (MTOP) has announced that a Chinese loan of US$367 million will fund the restoration of the Catamayo-Gonzanama-Sozoranga-Macara and Celica-Cruzpamba-Y del Muerto roads.
Serbia and China have signed a memorandum of understanding for construction of two sections of Serbia’s Corridor 11.
The MoU was inked in during Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic’s visit to the Chinese capital Beijing last week.

German engine manufacturer Deutz has replaced its existing funding arrangements with a new syndicated loan.
The working capital facility totalling €160million is being provided by a syndicate of German banks. The credit line is unsecured and runs until June 2017. In addition, Deutz has received a low-interest loan amounting to €90 million from the European Investment Bank.
