Building work starting on new Philippines toll road

Building work is starting shortly on a new toll road connection intended to boost transport and cut congestion in and around Manila in the Philippines. Manila is know for its heavy traffic congestion at peak periods and the 8km route will provide a new connection between the city’s north and south. This will be the second elevated expressway route.

The proposed NLEx-Cavitex Port Expressway Link will provide a connection between the North Luzon Expressway and Manila-Cavite Expressway. The project also includes the construction of Segment Nine and Segment 10, earmarked for completion in 12 and 24 months respectively.
