New engine architecture from Perkins will help the firm deliver emissions solutions to meet future regulations. In Europe the Stage V requirements are being finalised but Perkins says that it will be ready with its new technology.
Cummins has signed an agreement with Terex Advance Mixer, a subsidiary of Terex Corporation, Edge Materials and PCC Hydrogen, to develop hydrogen-fuelled internal combustion engines for use in concrete mixer trucks.
The project aims to develop a full hydrogen ecosystem with a hydrogen producer, vehicle manufacturer and end user. It is the first agreement of its kind signed by Cummins. The four companies will unite their efforts to see Cummins' X15H hydrogen internal combustion engines integrated into the Terex Advance Commander Series of front-discharge concrete mixer trucks.
Caterpillar is offering its AP 455 paver for the world market, with different screeds to suit the needs of each region. A spokesperson for the firm said, “We’ll have it in all regions except China.”
Deutz, one of the world's largest independent engine manufacturers, will in future be bundling its exhaust gas technology expertise in the EAT (Exhaust After-Treatment) product line. The goal is to promote customer-oriented solutions for the system integration of engine/exhaust technology quickly and efficiently, opening up additional growth opportunities by marketing a variety of EAT modules and systems as well as EAT development and application services.
