A dumper with a difference: Wacker Neuson’s DW50

At the flick of a switch, drivers of the DW50 Dual View dumper can spin 180 degrees and get a perfect view of the dumping action.

1651 Wacker Neuson is still working on development of the DW50 but a prototype is in action at this year’s bauma exhibition in Munich, Germany.

Although there is no date for eventually getting the dumper to market, visitors have been trying out the moveable seat and console unit.

The driver releases a lock and turns the entire unit to face the rear of the machine and get a perfect view of the working area. There is also an optional rear-view camera to get the best view in the skip direction. The steering column has tilt adjustment to allow for better access to the cabin.

Further highlights include a hydrostatic drive system. The machine also stops as soon as the driver removes their foot from the accelerator.
