Turbocharger package cuts emissions and boosts fuel efficiency

Revised turbocharger means better turbine efficiency

Komatsu Europe has premiered its new next-generation WA475-11 and WA485-11 wheeled loaders, which the manufacturer says represent a leap forward in performance and efficiency.
At the heart of new Dash 11 generation wheeled loaders is a newly developed Komatsu diesel engine which is characterised by extremely high torque in the low-speed range. This new engine is combined with a Komatsu-designed hydro-mechanical-transmission (HMT), resulting in excellent performance, power reserves, fuel efficiency and ease of operation for all transport and loading tasks.
Komatsu says that its new WA500-7 wheel loader offers improved efficiency and lower fuel consumption, as well as increased output. Weighing in at 333tonnes, the WA500-7 has improved operator comfort with a larger and more spacious cab fitted with ergonomic controls and offering better visibility.
Sokkia is upgrading its automatic level line-up with the new B series automatic levels, the B20, B30 and B40. This new series offers greater durability and replaces the previous line-up of the B and C series. The firm says that the new B series automatic levels offer greater reliability in all working conditions.
Sennebogen’s 875 E-Series crane is said to offer a high materials handling capacity, with low energy requirements and operating costs. Efficiency has been increased due to a new energy recovery system. Various gantry or pylon solutions and variable cabin elevation features are available.
