Bobcat has unveiled a new version of its T870 compact tracked loader. This now has a new torsion suspension undercarriage and replaces the earlier T870 model with its roller suspension system.
According to the firm, the torsion suspension undercarriage features torsion axles that dampen vibration, combining the comfort of roller suspension and the stability of a solid mount undercarriage. LiuGong is widening its wheeled loader line-up with the addition of the compact 816III model. Despite its small size the 5.6tonne 816III is said to have a high power to weight ratio, has a bucket breakout force of 5.45tonnes and features a 0.785m3 bucket as standard. Power comes from a Yanmar diesel rated at 48kW and which meets Tier 3 noise and emission regulations.

The US paving market is very different from Europe, with manufacturers having focussed on productivity so as to be able to surface the country’s long distance highway construction projects.
Higher performance is claimed for Komatsu’s Dash 7 version of its well-proven HD785 rigid dump truck, which offers a heaped capacity of 60m3. The 91tonne capacity HD785-7 is matched to Komatsu’s PC1250 and PC2000 excavators, and WA800 and WA900 wheel loaders. The new version of the truck is said to be more powerful than the previous generation machine, with drive from a Komatsu SAA12V140E-3 diesel delivering 1,178kW.
