Hyundai reveals its latest low emission wheeled loader

196 Cummins QSB6.7 diesel that delivers 116kW and meets Tier 4 Interim/Stage IIIB emissions requirements. The diesel has advanced electronic Controls and a self-diagnostic system, as well as a high pressure common rail system and advanced in-cylinder combustion technology. This offers increased power, improved transient response and reduced fuel consumption. The engine drives through a fully automatic transmission that the firm says is designed for maximum durability, minimum power loss, improved travel speed and low noise. It also has an improved clutch control and minimised shifting shock when operating. The HL740-9A model allows an operator to optimise power output, transmission, shift time and clutch cut-off activation to the job. Three engine power modes are available; power, standard and economy, as well as four transmission power shift modes; manual, light, normal and heavy.
Hyundai’s HL740-9A wheeled loader weighs in at 12.7tonnes, has a 2.35m3 bucket capacity as standard and is available in an extended reach (XTD) model, which tips the scales at 13tonnes. The loader is also available in a 13.3tonne tool carrier (TM) model with parallel lift.
Other improvements include better operator comfort and a larger, redesigned cab, as well as an LCD monitor that also operates as a rear-view backup camera for better safety onsite. Dana Rexroth Transmission Systems, the joint venture Dana and Bosch Rexroth, is to launch the R2 hydromechanical variable transmission (HVT). The modular transmission uses both a hydrostatic drive and a mechanical gearbox to deliver fuel savings of up to 25% compared to a torque converter transmission. Designed to work with engine outputs of 134-193kW (180-260hp), the R2 is suitable for use in wheeled loaders, motor graders, lift trucks and a variety of off-highway applications. Liebherr is showcasing at Conexpo 2014 the LH 40 M mobile industrial handler and LH 60 C tracked industrial handler from its new series of material-handling machines.
The Liebherr LH 40 M and LH 60 C handling machines are said to combine comfort, performance and reliability to give customers greater efficiency and low operating costs. Specially developed for material handling, both machines also comply with the requirements of Tier 4i / Stage IIIB emissions regulations.
