Hyundai launches R17Z-9A mini excavator

Hyundai Heavy Industries Europe (HHIE) is staging the global launch of the R17Z-9A mini excavator. The R17Z-9A model is among eight mini and midi Hyundai excavators ranging from 1.6tonnes up to 8tonnes on show at the Paris exhibition. Another of the three mini excavators on show, the R25Z-9AK is updated with a new Kubota engine.

236 Hyundai Heavy Industries Europe (HHIE) is staging the global launch of the R17Z-9A mini excavator.

The R17Z-9A model is among eight mini and midi Hyundai excavators ranging from 1.6tonnes up to 8tonnes on show at the Paris exhibition. Another of the three mini excavators on show, the R25Z-9AK is updated with a new 1265 Kubota engine.

The machine is designed with the intention of operating in confined areas and urban environments with its integrated counterweight and tight tail swing radius, a swing boom that hugs the machine and operating weights ranging from 8-8.24tonnes. PC80MR‐5 is powered by an electronically controlled Komatsu 4D98E‐5SFB Stage IIIB engine, with DPF and a net horsepower of 46.2 kW to maintain performance while reducing fuel consumption by up to 10%.
