D&A Heavy Industries launch quartet of breakers at INTERMAT 2015

Korean company D&A Heavy Industries has unveiled four new hydraulic breakers at INTERMAT 2015. The models – D&A 650V, D&A 700V, D&A 750V, and D&A 1200V - range from 10-22tonnes in operating weight and are for excavator sizes 45-80tonnes, 58-100tonnes, 60-100tonnes, and 85-140tonnes respectively.

Korean company 8069 D&A Heavy Industries has unveiled four new hydraulic breakers.

The models – D&A 650V, D&A 700V, D&A 750V, and D&A 1200V - range from 4.5-10tonnes in operating weight and are for excavator sizes 45-80tonnes, 58-100tonnes, 60-100tonnes, and 85-140tonnes respectively.

This week’s latest additions to the Seoul-based firm’s range, said to be ideal for larger quarrying and mining applications, take its total V Series hydraulic breaker offering for quarrying, mining and demolition customers to an impressive 22 models.

Kyung Woong Koo, D&A Heavy Industries president and CEO, said that due to manufacturers inceasing the size of their excavators and other material carriers, the company had to produce increasingly large breakers to suit the higher production capacity machines.

“The manufacturing of the bigger-sized breakers is different. It has to be more precise and the material used to make the breaker must be of the highest quality,” explained Koo. “The 750V breaker was a year in testing with an existing customer before its launch here.”

D&A Heavy Industries’ V Series hydraulic breakers are said to have a highly efficient design, more power and impact energy than competitor models, low operating costs, minimum moving parts cutting down time, and a claimed wider range of application than other breakers.

Koo said that D&A Heavy Industries is targeting growth through exports: “Our turnover is growing by around 30% a year and we would like to explore export markets, in particular the Middle East and Latin America markets. We think there is strong potential for us there.”
