Crane and articulated dump truck tyres debut at show

China’s Techking Tires introduced new crane and articulated dump truck tyres to its catalogue of off-road radial products. The ETCRANE range is the result of a seven-year research and development programme and features closed shoulder and multistep groove design to avoid irregular wear and stone ejection on off-road and highway applications. ECE approved size options include 385/95 R25 and 445/95 R25. The tyres are approved by crane manufacturers, such as Terex, Sany and Zoomlion, and are already in service

China’s 8065 Techking Tires introduced new crane and articulated dump truck tyres to its catalogue of off-road radial products. The ETCRANE range is the result of a seven-year research and development programme and features closed shoulder and multistep groove design to avoid irregular wear and stone ejection on off-road and highway applications. ECE approved size options include 385/95 R25 and 445/95 R25. The tyres are approved by crane manufacturers, such as 1222 Terex, 1170 Sany and 1175 Zoomlion, and are already in service in a number of countries, such as India where they are suitable for the expanding metro, expressway and building construction industries there. The PROADT tyres are designed for reliability with articulated dump trucks. The tyres are E3/L3 TRA-coded and come in 23.5 R25 and 29.5 R25 sizes. Techking also offers a range of tyres of mining, quarrying, waste hauling and other industries.

  • Surface quality a key trend in asphalt paving
    March 7, 2012
Improved surface quality and improved machine design are key trends in the asphalt paving sector, Mike Woof reports There is a big difference in asphalt paving techniques in North America and Europe. In North America, the need to construct long stretches of highway quickly resulted in wide pavers offering high throughput capacity, with compaction equipment then being used to achieve the required density of the various courses. In Europe's highway construction projects, distances tend to be shorter and contr
