Two new short radius excavators are being introduced by Case Construction Equipment at INTERMAT. The Japanese-built CX235C SR and a prototype CX145C SR use low emission Isuzu engines with cooled EGR and a DPF to meet stage IIIB emissions requirements, and Case reckoned the new engines provide a 17.5% fuel consumption improvement over previous models, while simultaneously delivering up to 7% cent faster cycle times.

Doosan Portable Power, who will be exhibiting at Intermat 2012, has introduced a new branding scheme for the company’s leading ranges of portable air compressors, generators and lighting towers.

The smallest of Wacker Neuson’s new five-strong DT series of crawler-mounted dumpers being showcased at INTERMAT 2012, the DT05 has a loading capacity of 0.5tonnes and a machine width of just 66cm.

JCB is expanding its range of mini excavators with the launch of the 8026 CTS. The 8026 CTS joins the range alongside the zero tailswing 8025 ZTS in the line-up. The new 2.7tonne machine offers a conventional layout with a trailer-towable transport weight and increased lifting capacity. The 8026 CTS uses a dedicated boom and dipper arm for greater digging and lifting performance. Fayat Group has developed the Tiltex swivelling clamp for sheet pile handling. Specifically designed for excavator-mounted Vibrodrivers, the Tiltex clamp improves the handling of sheet piles and the productivity on piling projects.

2012 sees the start of a new wheeled excavator programme from Liebherr, and the A916 represents the first fruit from the project. Replacing the A316 Litronic, the new A916 has been developed to meet Stage IIIB emissions requirements and has an operating weight from 17-18.1 tonnes depending on specification. Power comes from a four-cylinder 110kW engine with common rail fuel injection, EGR and DOC – a DPF is available as an optional extra for those working inside buildings.

Following the successful integration of CDC Dynamic Load Control management in its agricultural telehander range, Merlo is introducing the technology to its construction models at INTERMAT The system is an advanced method of load management, and effectively places a real-time image of the handler’s load chart on a colour screen in the cab, showing the weight and position of the load on the chart, at all times.

Using a Perkins 1104D-E44TA engine, Bobcat’s TL470HF telehandler gets an output of 97.5kW. Enough, said the firm, to put some step into the 7,130kg machine, which offers a maximum lift capacity of 3.5tonnes and a maximum lift height of seven metres.

Building on its Wacker-Neuson partnering agreement for mini excavator production, Cat is to add two new mini excavators to its range at INTERMAT.

Cat will introduce its new F series backhoe loaders at INTERMAT, and represented by the 428F and 432F models.

INTERMAT launches from Terex include the TC16 Twin Drive mini excavator, which will debut in its production format. The TC16 gets diesel power and an additional electric motor for emissions-free operation when working inside buildings or confined spaces.
