Allu has upgraded its screener crusher buckets with the introduction of the new six-model D-Series range suitable for excavators from 10 to 40tonnes and wheel loaders between five and 30tonnes. The design allows the buckets to be used for crushing demolition waste, asphalt and glass using replaceable hammer heads to produce end product between 25mm and 100mm. They can also be configured to screen materials with product size from 0-15mm, 0-25mm or 0-35mm and can be used for mixing in lime or other products

Engcon has introduced a new range of tilt-rotators, using a cast housing to greatly increase capacity. The EC218 and EC226 replace the EC15 and EC20 respectively. The former is suitable for machines up to 18tonnes in operating weight, while the latter is designed for excavators up to 26 tonnes. The cast housing incorporates internal lubrication channels for centralised greasing, reducing the risk of dust ingress or damage while operating. Two extended reach telehandlers have been added to Genie’s range with the introduction of the 14metre reach GTH4014 and the GTH4018, which can lift loads to 18metres. Breaker specialist Montabert has increased its budget offering with a new two-speed unit and additions to its Blue Line. By restricting the speed choice to two, the new V3500 breaker (suitable for carriers from 35 to 60tonnes) is around 20% cheaper than its full-spec multi-speed counterpart while still allowing the machine operator the choice between maximum speed and maximum impact power. JCB has updated its 1.5tonne 8018 CTS mini excavator. The conventional tailswing machine has an improved lift capacity, thanks to a return to a box-section boom, with an 11% increase in digging depth. Dump height and reach are also improved, and the mini has a new dozer blade for greater pushing performance. Upgraded hydraulics, with longer travel valves increase control and allow straight line tracking while using upper structure functions.

Vehicle conversion specialist Procar is displaying a range of products. A welfare vehicle, based on a Citroen Relay, has a cooking and dining area and lockable drying facilities to the rear, while a pickup conversion on a Renault Master, available as single or double cab, can be specified with flooring and tail board options.

Auger Torque has introduced a torque measuring device which fits between its auger drivers and the dipper end and measures the torque applied to screw anchors. A Bluetooth readout shows the torque applied enabling contractors top confirm they have achieved the minimum depth and torque requirements set by the civil engineer.

Pioneer Pump has brought both its largest and smallest construction models to INTERMAT. The 150CM skid-mounted pumpset is commonly used in dewatering and jetting applications, both on and offshore. Yanmar Construction Equipment chose INTERMAT to reveal its latest tracked dumper development – the prototype C30R-2R – complete with swivel skip body. The 2,500kg skip can be slewed through 180 degrees, allowing material to be discharged anywhere around the front of the machine. In addition, the C30R-2R also uses a reverse drive console. With dual controls, the reverse drive platform allows the operator to spin the seat through180 degrees to remain facing forward when driving the machine in either direction

The ‘world’s smallest crusher bucket’, the MB-L160, made its debut at INTERMAT on the MB stand. Weighing just 1,350kg, the 0.3m3 capacity bucket has a throughput capacity of up to 22.5tonnes/hr and fits to machines between seven and 12tonnes, including backhoe loaders. Product size adjustment ranges from 15mm to 50mm.

SDMO Industries is hoping its expanded line of rental compact power generators, being unveiled at INTERMAT 2012, will bring commercial success. The R275C3 and R330C3 Rental Compact models will come onto the market after the show, with the R450C3 and R550C3 available from June 2012. It will allow SDMO to offer Rental Compact machines from R16C3 up to R550C3.

Terex launched three compact excavators at INTERMAT – a micro TC10 and the reduced radius TC15 and TC19. All three have been developed in co-operation with an Italian manufacturer. The TC10, which weighs just 1 tonne, has a travel width of 760mm, allowing it to pass through a standard doorway. Hydraulically extending track frames offer a digging width of 990mm for maximum stability.

Selwood Pumps has had promising meetings at INTERMAT with potential new distributors who have visited its stand in the UK Pavilion. Exports through distributors account for 75% of the pumps that Selwood manufactures. The company is highlighting the S100, S150 and S200 Super Silent pumps, which have recently been improved by the introduction of a close-coupled configuration as part of an ongoing development programme across the entire range.

Simex has introduced a visual indication on its planning attachments – the Performer – which enables operators to utilise all a carrier machine’s available power while avoiding stalling. The patented system automatically resets to reflect each machine’s maximum power and, according to the company, the device typically improves production rates by 25 to 30%.
