Hamm is widening its range of HD+ asphalt compactors to no less than 24 machines in all. Nine new models competing in the 7tonne and 8tonne classes are being added to the line-up, and which share the large, high visibility and ergonomic cabs with the existing machines in the HD+ range. Innovative asphalt paving technology is coming to market from Vögele

From Vögele comes a new range of pavers in the shape of its latest generation machines, which are said to offer higher performance productivity and finish quality, along with lower emissions and running costs. The new machines being offered are the 1900-3, 1300-3 and 1100-3 tracked pavers, as well as the 1303-3 and 1103-3 wheeled pavers and these come in addition to the existing 2100-3, with the 1600-3 and 1800-3 also due shortly.
Vögele develops sophisticated new screeds

In addition to its new paving range, Vögele is offering improved screed technology for both European and US paving concepts. Designed for European customers, the new AB500 and AB600 extending screeds are designed to pave widths from 2-9.5m, while the VR500 and VR600 screeds have been developed for the North American market and for use with the firm’s VISION pavers. The VF500 features extending units in front of the basic screed while the VR600 has extending units behind the basic screed.
Steering on drums: the Dynapac CG2300 roller

Having a long tradition of CG rollers, without central articulation, but with steering on drums, Atlas Copco’s Road Construction Equipment division now launches the Dynapac CG2300 asphalt roller. The roller is 3.95m long and 3m high with an inner turning radius of 3.1m. This means transportation advantages as well as ease of working in restricted areas.
Ammann unveils first ever 9 tonne roller at bauma

Ammann will be unveiling its first ever 9-tonne roller as part of a 20-strong range of new rollers that meet Euro 3B and Tier 4 Interim emission standards. Part of Ammann’s largest machine market launch to date and fitted with a Deutz 74kW engine, the ARX 90 tandem roller is said to be Swiss firm’s most important product with regard to volume in global applications. A Tier 3B version of the ARX 90 is due to become available during the course of 2013.
