BOMAG Economizer features in new light tandem roller range
January 6, 2017
The new range of BOMAG light tandem rollers is a first for the compaction sector. Using the BOMAG Economizer feature, the company becomes the first manufacturer to offer the roller operator a reliable instrument to indicate compaction progress. From the operator’s perspective it is no longer just a ‘feeling’ which determines the quality during the compaction process. Now, with the Economizer, the compaction status is continually displayed and soft spots identified. Until now, assessing the compaction statu
MOBA temperature scanner enhances road quality
January 6, 2017
From mixing plant to compaction, the temperature of asphalt is critical. Cold asphalt can lead to road damages, which result in additional costs of up to 46% due a shorter lifetime of the road. With optimum composition of both asphalt material and process flow being priorities in the road construction process, the new MOBA PAVE-IR temperature scanner system enhances both.
BOMAG reinvents tangential oscillation with TanGO
January 6, 2017
TanGO, a new tangential oscillation system, has been launched at bauma 2013 by BOMAG. The company has reassessed many details of the well-established exciter system in terms of both technical and cost-effective aspects, and optimised it in key areas. BOMAG oscillation makes use of the physical laws of vibration generation to best effect. The careful coordination of exciter system to drum weight ratios is the basis for the tangential oscillation. The result is clearly improved power for vibration generation
