Skako Concrete has – literally – unveiled its new Rotoconix mixer after keeping the new model under cover until 11am on the first day of bauma. The Rotoconix is designed for quick batching cycles, fast discharge and uniform mixing no matter the batch size. The mixer has three key parts, all of which are reversible. It combines a rotating cone a high-speed ‘turbo whirler’ and a screw.

Terex Cranes has replaced its CC2800-1 crawler crane with the Superlift 3800 lattice boom, offering improved speed and efficiency for customers. The 3800 can handle loads of up to 650tonnes at a radius of 5-12m and has a maximum load moment of 8,426t/m. Sany has introduced three new crawler cranes to the European market, all bearing the CE mark. Largest of the trio brought to bauma is the 300tonne-capacity SCC 8300. It was joined by its smaller siblings, the SCC 8200 and SCC 8100, with capacities of 200tonnes and 100tonnes respectively.

Fraccaroli & Balzan, which designs, manufactures and installs waste water treatment systems, is showcasing its biggest filter press yet at bauma 2013. Faresin Industries has expanded its telescopic handler range with the addition of the FH8.40 and the rotating Storm 22.45 evo. The FH8.40 sits in the range between the established FH7.45 and the FH9.30. The machine has a capacity of 4tonnes with a maximum lift height of 8m. Higher up the lifting scale, the Storm 22.45 rotating handler can manage up to 45tonne lifts, with a maximum height of 22m.

Models brought to bauma by Soilmec included two new multipurpose hydraulic crawler cranes for heavy-duty applications. Among key features of the SC-70 and SC-90 is a design that enables easy transport and set-up on site. Bauma 2013 will see the former Waitzinger concrete pump range in Liebherr livery for the first time, following the purchase of the company in October 2012. Liebherr will show four pumps, including the compact 41 M5XXT and the high capacity THP 160H/36 R4XXH. This truck-mounted pump has a four-section 36m boom yet sits on the narrow XXH outrigger supports and is capable of handling up to 160m3/h of concrete delivery.

A whole new raft of customer and product care systems took centre stage for Manitowoc at bauma as the crane manufacturer formally introduced its EnCORE Partner programme to the European, Middle Eastern and African (EMEA) markets and unveiled a new anti-collision system for the group’s Potain tower cranes.

JLG International has launched a new telehandler, the 250S. “We updated the machine in order to comply with the new emissions regulations,” said JLG marketing communications manager Xenia Kolijn. The telehandler has a Deutz engine and complies with Tier 4 final, said Kolijn.
