The design of Flygt N-hydraulics allows stringy solids to pass through easily without clogging the pump and has been used successfully in Flygt dry installed and submersible pumps since 1997. The Flygt N-technology has been proven in more than 300,000 water and wastewater installations around the world.

Andrew Jones, head of Xylem’s dewatering business said: “In sewage bypass and other wastewater pumping, fibre and stringy solids can cause difficulties. Pumps can often clog requiring maintenance and resulting in unplanned downtime. Xylem’s engineering teams in the UK, Sweden and the United States have integrated Flygt N-technology into our flagship Godwin Dri-Prime range to create this non-clog range that ideally suited for a multitude of applications within the construction and municipal industries.”

Xylem’s Godwin NC Series (models NC80, NC100 and NC150) are capable of flows up to 400m³/hour) and heads up to 60m. The NC Series is offered with diesel engine or electric motor options, on highway trailer or skid base. Pump enclosures that minimise noise are also available for use in residential areas.

Heatec’s new emulsion mill skid is on display at Conexpo. The skid, designed to produce 54tonnes of emulsified asphalt per hour, includes an asphalt meter system, a latex pump, a control panel, and the new Barracuda colloid mill. In designing the Barracuda mill, engineers from Heatec examined existing mills to research known drawbacks and see how they could be overcome. One of the features of the mill is the ability to make adjustments while the mill is running. Changing the gap between the jaws is a qu

Cat has added three new models of wheeled loader to its range, badged 924K, 930K and 938K. All share the same basic architecture, differing in wheelbase, axles, machine width and bucket capacities – the latter extend from 1.9-5.0 cubic metres. The biggest change over the H-series models they replace is an all-new cab, offering a massive improvement in ergonomics and comfort. A wider, deeper front windscreen, climate control, seat-mounted joysticks and an ultra-low in-cab noise level of 66dB(a) are among i
