Work has begun on the Long Van-Long My road in Vietnam's Binh Dinh province. The US $47.71 million project (VND 995bn), due for completion in 2015, will create a 7km road connecting National Highways 1D and 1A in Quy Nhon town.

The US $47.71 million project (VND 995bn), due for completion in 2015, will create a 7km road connecting National Highways 1D and 1A in Quy Nhon town.
The Bucharest-Constanta highway works in Romania have finished following the successful completion of the final Cernavoda-Medgidia and Medgidia-Constanta routes. The major US$427.41 million (RON 1.49bn) project, designed in the 1980s, was stopped several times and restarted due to problems with the feasibility studies, lack of financing and cancellation of the contracts with contractors. The proposed north-south highway project in Vietnam is gaining traction, with financing options now being considered. The Vietnamese Government is investigating a suggestion by the country’s central bank that local funding could pay for the building of the 1,372km route. However securing financing from the private sector for major projects has become more difficult in recent times. The project is expected to cost in the region of US$13.9 billion to construct and looks likely to be built using a PPP model.
A new flyover and express bus routes are among revisions to a new traffic development plan for Hanoi City, Vietnam set to cost US$462.52 million (VND9.66tn). The revised plan has been put forward by The People's Committee of Hanoi City.
