Work has begun on the Long Van-Long My road in Vietnam's Binh Dinh province. The US $47.71 million project (VND 995bn), due for completion in 2015, will create a 7km road connecting National Highways 1D and 1A in Quy Nhon town.

The US $47.71 million project (VND 995bn), due for completion in 2015, will create a 7km road connecting National Highways 1D and 1A in Quy Nhon town.
A Finnish contractor has purchased a Hitachi ZX250LC-5 excavator for use on a road construction project in Rovaniemi. The town is the commercial centre of Finland's northernmost province, Lapland, and contactor, Maansiirtoliike Kemppe, is using the excavator for earthmoving on the new Kiveliöntie road.

The east African nation’s 218km Modjo-Hassan highway is expected to cost US$720 million to construct. The highway will be constructed in two stages. The first section of the route will stretch 93km from Modjo to Zeway and is expected to cost $350 million to complete.
